Only the dissemination of information is not enough to achieve the mentioned objective of the university, it requires an extensive interaction among its community people (Students, teachers, staffs) and the outside people. This interaction will integrate students and teachers in terms of research and teaching and hence new dimensions of knowledge will evolve.

 

Keeping this view in mind Chittagong University is now implementing a Campus-wide Information System (CWIS) with an objective to connecting its various components (students, teachers, staff etc.) and to capture, store, manipulate, model, analyze and disseminate information to achieve its knowledge mission. At this point, it is important to note that the university obtained high speed internet connectivity on 26^th of July 2006 through sub-marine cable and hence connected with the information superhighway. This is considered as the first high speed internet connectivity through sub-marine cable in this region
