Mr. Sumon Bhattacharjee
Assistant Professor

Sumon Bhattacharjee is an Assistant Professor of The Department of Accounting & Information Systems (AIS) at the University of Chittagong (CU). Before joining the CU, he served as a permanent faculty member in the Department of Business Administration at East West University, Dhaka. Mr. Bhattacharjee received his BBA from the Department of AIS, CU, where he received his MBA and currently pursuing M. Phil under the scholarship of HEQEP, a World Bank Project. He teaches courses in the field of Accounting and Finance at graduate level in CU and at master’s level in a number of reputed private Universities in Bangladesh. His research interest is Corporate Governance and Financial Reporting Practices. Since inception of his teaching career, Mr. Bhattacharjee has demonstrated immense interest in research thorough contributing a good number of articles, teaching cases to leading national and international business journals, actively participating in many seminars and workshops, and presenting research papers in a number of international academic conferences.

  • Worked as a full time Lecturer at East West University, Bangladesh from May 15, 2008 to January 17, 2010.
  • Worked as a Probationary Officer with Bank Asia Limited from March 21, 2007 to May 14, 2008.

  4. Participated in the “Foundation Training Course for the Probationary Officers” held from 20th May to 14th June 2007 by Bank Asia Limited.
  5. Attended and successfully completed a workshop of “Internal Control and Branch Compliance” conducted by the Zonal Office of Bank Asia Limited.
