The medium of instruction is bilingual: Bangla and English except in the language and literature departments where the respective language is the medium of instruction. In addition to the Department of English where English is automatically the language of instruction, in the Faculty of Commerce, the Institute of Forestry & Environmental Sciences, the Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries, English is the medium of instruction. However, in the other departments, generally speaking, the students prefer to use English as the medium of communication
