Other Facilities

Though cost of study for a student at Chittagong University is practically negligible, lodging in the students dormitories can be expensive by Bangladeshi standard. Part-time jobs are sometimes available. Scholarship scheme and stipends are offered to students of outstanding caliber. Post-graduate research scholarships have also been introduced. Students seeking admission to the university should contact the concerned office by the end of April or as per advertisement published in the national and the local dailies.

 

Sports Facilities

The Department of Physical Education takes care of all kinds of field games: football, hockey, cricket, hand-ball, volleyball, tennis, basketball, badminton and squash. In addition to the university's central playground, there are playgrounds in front of most of the residential halls. The university's central playground is located in a valley, surrounded by scenic beauty. The university has a leading position in inter-university games and sports.
